Faced with the countless assaults, robberies and robberies that criminals continue to commit against defenseless tourists, men, women, youth and other working citizens in the Dominican Republic, people in this city are demanding that the new government have among its priorities the frontal fight against crime .

They affirm, “there are many heartless people who rely on the weaknesses of the Dominican judicial system and the facilities they enjoy when breaking the law, citing as an example that 80% of the assaults are committed in the country on motorcycles, without license plates, lights and your drivers without having the slightest document.
“If the past government of the PLD did not want, could not or did not care to confront this social evil, the new government headed by Luis Abinader must confront it with determination as it has proposed to confront corruption and impunity”, they maintain.
Likewise, they pointed out that in the institution of order it is necessary to carry out a purge on its agents, because many of them are often involved in criminal acts.
They condemned the assault, which occurred at noon last Saturday, on the well-known communicator Mariasela Álvarez and her daughter who had just arrived in the country, committed at gunpoint from a motor without a license plate or lights in the Serrallés expansion of the capital.
Likewise, an hour later, the same criminal assaulted two daughters of television producer Tuto Guerrero, in front of his office in Arroyo Hondo, with a firearm. In both robberies, he managed to take women’s wallets and fired two shots.
Thanks to the recordings by the surveillance cameras installed in front of where these assaults occurred, the police managed to arrest the outlaw several hours later.
The Quisqueyans recommended starting and encouraging a systematic nationwide campaign against engines that break the law, and that the different businesses, residential buildings, homes and at the different entrances and exits of sectors and cities install surveillance cameras, which will serve as supports. , as on other occasions, for the police to advance the arrests of the criminals.
