SANTO DOMINGO.- The Central Electoral Board began yesterday the printing of 24.8 million of the ballots that will be used in the congressional and presidential elections of July 5.
As well as the 695 thousand ballots of the 3 constituencies abroad.
Mario Núñez, National Director of Elections, explained that the printing has a surplus programmed for each electoral college between 8 and 10 percent in general terms.
Editora Corripio will print 24 million ballots at the presidential, senatorial and deputation levels throughout the country.
While Editora TELE-3 will be in charge of printing 695 thousand ballots from the 3 outer constituencies.
The printing of the ballots will take approximately 15 to 18 days, which is within the parameters for the assembly of the elections on July 5.
The Board began to organize the electoral material, since logistics are scheduled to start on June 18 and to end on June 30. Elections will be held at the presidential and legislative levels.
The ballot formats at the presidential level, with a size of 8.5? x 14 ?; and senatorial level, with a size of 8.5? x 14 ?. In the case of the deputies’ ballot it will depend on the number of positions to choose.
