SANTO DOMINGO.- The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) and the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) changed blocks and offices after the official organization became a majority in the Senate of the Republic.
In the current legislature that began on August 16, the Dominican Liberation Party in the Senate, the PLD went from having large offices, to simply limited space for just five legislators.
It is recalled that in the past four years the PLD had 29 senators, being the political organization with the largest representatives in that legislative body.
From the second level, where the PLD bloc was for more than three legislative terms, including one of six years, now its location is at the third level, where the PRM bloc previously operated. With only two deputies.
Purple opponents held a press conference with journalists covering the legislative source to publicize its new location within the building.
“We were in the second level and for reasons of the new composition, the president of the Senate of the Republic has placed us in the third level,” said the PLD spokesman, Aris Yván Lorenzo Suero.
The PLD reduced its senators to just four.
